What this notice covers
How we handle your personal information when you:
- Buy a ticket to a GSD conference
- Join a GSD waiting list
- Attend the conference on the day
- Receive a CPD certificate after the event
- Visit this website
It does not cover our other services, which have their own privacy notices.
What information we collect
When you book a ticket or join a waiting list, we collect:
- Your name
- Email address
- Job role and practice or organisation name
- Dietary requirements and access needs
- Billing details, handled by our payment processor and not stored by us
On the day, we may also process attendance records and photographs or video of the event. We will tell you in advance and offer an opt-out.
How we use it and why
- Processing your ticket and providing your place: contract
- Issuing your CPD certificate: contract
- Catering, accessibility and venue planning: contract and legitimate interests
- Essential event information, such as joining instructions and programme updates: contract
- Contacting you if a place becomes available from the waiting list: consent
- Meeting our legal and accounting obligations: legal obligation
We do not sell your data. We do not pass it to third-party marketers. We do not share delegate lists with sponsors or other delegates.
Who we share your information with
- Ticket Tailor: ticketing, waiting lists and event emails
- Stripe: payment processing
- 34SP.com: website hosting, UK
- Google Fonts: this website loads its display font from Google, so your IP address is sent to Google when you view a page
- Our venue: catering and access requirements only
- Our accountants and HMRC, where required by law
Each processor has its own data protection arrangements and we only share the minimum needed.
How long we keep your information
- Booking and attendance records: 7 years, to meet HMRC and accounting requirements
- Waiting list: until the event has taken place, or until you remove yourself
- Photographs and video: kept for promotional use unless you ask us to remove identifiable images of you
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of your personal information, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email mail@ankitkant.com. We will respond within one month.
If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Security
We use reputable third-party platforms with appropriate security measures. Access to your data within Shumoo Limited is limited to those who need it to run the conference. We do not store payment card details.

We may update this notice from time to time. The version number and date are shown at the top.
